From high-power sheet cutting to tube work and flexible laser processes, GWEIKE's Milan exhibition lineup showed the range of production questions a fabricator brings to one show.

MILAN, Italy — The 35th BI-MU concluded on October 16 after four days at fieramilano Rho. GWEIKE joined the machine-tool event in Hall 24 with a lineup spanning large-format sheet cutting, tube processing and flexible laser applications.

BI-MU's 2026 edition brought metal cutting and forming machinery together with automation, digital manufacturing and other production technologies. For GWEIKE, that setting placed its laser portfolio in the wider context of how manufacturers plan a complete part: selecting stock, cutting it, preparing it for assembly and choosing the next process.

Sheet and tube cutting at different scales

The LF4020GH 20 kW sheet laser cutting machine put high-power plate processing in focus for visitors considering larger parts and demanding workloads. The GKS-6024TC tube cutting system addressed a different starting point: profiles and tubular components whose cut geometry must fit the next fabrication step.

These machines answer different production needs. A buyer comparing them has to look beyond a headline power rating to the material, dimensions, batch size and downstream operations of the parts being made. That is where an exhibition discussion becomes useful: a real drawing makes the equipment choice concrete.

More than one route through a workshop

The lineup also included the M3 ULTRA and LCW Series. The M3 ULTRA extends into multi-process laser work, while the LCW Series covers handheld welding, cleaning and cutting applications. Together with the larger cutting systems, these machines showed how varied the requirements behind a single request for “laser equipment” can be.

The right starting point is the part itself. Material type, thickness, shape, finish and required output all change the discussion. By presenting different machine categories at BI-MU, GWEIKE could address those questions across a broader range of fabrication tasks without treating every application as the same job.

Continuing the conversation after Milan

The fair has ended, but the equipment decision continues in the workshop. Manufacturers evaluating a sheet, tube or handheld laser process can share a drawing, material specification or sample with GWEIKE to compare suitable configurations and plan the next step.
